the best place · thomas did stay home today (on a bright note, he did get to watch the princess bride, the best sick day movie ever made). he's had a pretty high fever. at one point, ritina decided she needed to take his temperature, but he was drinking something at the time. she thought she might take his temperature under the arm, but i told her it wasn't as accurate that way. knowing she'd have to wait a while, she made a comment to me, overheard by thomas, about the "best" way to get a temperature. thomas pressed her until she told him what this was. he asked if that would hurt, and when ritina told him no, he said that didn't sound too bad. he did have this choice piece of advice, however: "you know, i think you'd want to be sure to wash that thermometer off before someone puts it in their mouth, though."
